Longlong Art Studio Receives Impact Award at MAC Conference for Transformative Youth Education

We are thrilled to announce that Longlong Art Studio has received the Impact Award in recognition of our commitment to empowering youth through creative and culturally rich after-school programming.

The award was presented at the MAC Annual Conference, co-sponsored by the Michigan Afterschool Partnership (MASP) and the Michigan Department of Lifelong Education, Advancement, and Potential (MiLEAP) Office of Education Partnerships – Community Learning Centers, in partnership with the Michigan Department of Education (MDE). We are incredibly honored to be recognized by such respected organizations that share our dedication to high-quality out-of-school-time (OST) learning.

At Longlong Art Studio, we believe that art is a catalyst for growth, confidence, and social awareness. Through our afterschool programs, we’ve introduced thousands of children to Eastern art and culture, fostered creativity alongside STEM learning, and empowered students to think critically and act compassionately. We also use art to raise awareness about important social issues, such as gun violence, and to bring communities together through cultural festivals and exhibitions.

This award validates the heart of our mission: to nurture not only the next generation of artists, but also thoughtful, confident, and community-minded leaders.

We extend our deepest thanks to our students, families, staff, and community partners for being part of this journey. Together, we will continue to create, grow, and make a lasting impact.

Longlong Art Studio Featured in Troy City Lifestyle Magazine

We are honored to share that Longlong Art Studio has been featured in Troy City Lifestyle magazine in the article titled “Art, Community and Beauty Unite,” written by Rebecca Schweitzer and Todd Haight.

The article highlights the incredible work of Longlong Zhou, the visionary artist and educator behind Longlong Art Studio. As both a passionate artist and dedicated teacher, Longlong has created a space where art and culture come together to inspire students of all ages. The studio offers comprehensive art education for both children and adults, with an emphasis on fostering creativity and cultural exchange.

In addition to providing exceptional art education, Longlong sees art as a vital tool for promoting cultural understanding within the Asian American community. Through initiatives such as the annual Chinese Culture Day at a Detroit Public Schools magnet school, the studio enriches the educational experience for students while celebrating cultural heritage through artistic practices.

We are incredibly proud of the recognition Longlong Art Studio has received and the continued success of its talented students.
